If the HP 4Si is a pedigreed workhorse, the HP LaserJet 5Si is like a team of them, with its 40 MHz processor and 24 ppm engine! Building on the award-winning success of the 4Si, the versatile 5Si takes high-volume departmental network printing to further heights of speed, quality, and efficiency. It is fast, robust and intelligent, with HP Admin printer management software and other enhancements that make printing easier for both users and administrators. It also comes with two empty MIO slots for HP JetDirect cards or third-party print servers. And the LaserJet 5Si offers paper-handling and network options that let you build exactly the printer that matches your needs!

The super, network-ready LaserJet 5Si NX is a complete 5Si especially configured for PCL printing in an Ethernet 10Base-T environment.

Do you have Macintoshes or a mixed platform environment? The 5Si MX is the one for you! It's a 5Si with built-in Adobe PostScript Level 2 and HP JetDirect card for Ethernet/LocalTalk.

In addition to these fine network printing solutions, you can turn the HP LaserJet 5Si into a hard-working, 5Si Mopier that delivers high-volume Multiple Original Prints (Mopies) with ease.

5Si, 5Si MX, and 5Si NX specs include—

600 x 600 dpi, plus built-in HP REt and microfine toner to enhance resolution.
Memory: 4 MB standard on 5Si and 5Si NX, expandable to 132 MB.12 MB on M and MX versions, expandable to 76 MB. HP MEt (memory enhancement).
40 MHz AMD 29040 RISC processor and fast WX engine deliver up to 24 pages per minute.
Standard Input Capacity: 1,100 sheets, with 1 x 100-sheet multi-purpose and 2 x 500-sheet universal trays. Paper sizes: Letter, A4, Legal, Executive, A3, B4, B5, 11x17. Optional 100-envelope tray handles Com 10, Monarch, DL, C5, B5 . Optional high capacity 1500-sheet paper feeder available.
Output capacity: 500-sheet upper bin. 100-sheet left bin. Correct order output in top bin. Faceup in left bin. Output bin full sensor.
More paper-handling options: high capacity 2000-sheet input tray as a fourth source that increases total capacity to 3,100 sheets; a Duplex Unit for two-sided printing; and a 2000-sheet MultiBin Mailbox with 5 addressable bins (and optional stapler). Software support for paper-handling options simplifies configuration and use.
