The Fixing Heater PCB Assembly, like the AC Driver Assembly, is located inside
the power inlet assembly. Unlike the AC Driver PCB Assembly, there are not 110V
and 220V versions. Versions do differ, however, depending on the type of cooling
fan being used. Any printer with an internal video controller needs both a lower
fan and a more powerful upper fan to dissipate the heat generated. Fixing assemblies
are more likely to fail and melt gears when the fan does not provide enough
cooling. SX and TX printers without internal controllers use RG1-0714-050, which
powers the low power fan. All others use RG1-1438-030, which provides more power
to a higher wattage fan. Fans have also been revised and the new ones move more
air with less power.
