Laser/Scanner Assembly

The Laser/Scanner Assembly includes the semiconductor laser, a six-faced rotating mirror, and all the necessary optics to focus and direct the laser beam across the photosensitive drum inside the toner cartridge.

Individual components of the Laser/Scanner Assembly are not available as spare parts from Canon or The Printer Works. Technicians should not attempt to repair laser scanners, since the laser beam can be harmful to vision.

All versions of Canon SX, RX and TX printers use the same Laser/Scanner Assembly.
