Replacing the M3027 MFP formatter with the later model M3035 MFP upgrades the performance of the M3027 MFP from 27 pages per minute to 35 pages per minute, adds duplexing for two-sided printing, and allows scanning documents to a networked hard drive folder.

The "x"in the model number refers to faxing. If you want to add the "x", Faxing, to the base model M3027 MFP, or M3035 MFP, you will need each of the following three parts:

• Q3701A: Modem Analog Fax Module
• CB414-60148: Sheet Metal Cage for Fax Module
• 5851-2503: Cable Interface

To upgrade a base model M3027 MFP to M3027x MFP, or base model M3035 MFP to M3035x MFP with Faxing capabilities, simply install the fax modem model to your M3027 MFP or M3035 MFP. No screwdriver required. The setup menu for faxing will appear automatically on the control panel, and ask for you to enter faxing setup information. That simple!

The "s" in the model number refers to the manual electric stapler, not a stapler you would have in a stapler stacker. To add the manual stapler, you will need the stapler, power supply, and a new cover. This would require a service technician to install, and we don't offer it as an end-user upgrade presently.
