Using original OEM parts, our formatter kit will enable the innate duplex printing capability on Color LaserJet 4600 and 5500 printers — no other parts are necessary. Simply purchase and install our kit, complete instructions are provided. Then send us your old working formatter to get our low, UEX price!

All Color LaserJet 4600 and 5500 printers can potentially print double-sided (duplex). If you have a base model, non-network-equipped 4600 or 5500 printer, this kit will also enable duplex printing! If you have a network-equipped Color LaserJet 4600 or 5500, this kit will also convert the Color LaserJet 4600n to a 4600dn, or a 5500n to a 5500dn.

Color LaserJet 4600 and 5500 printers both use the same formatter board, with different firmware. This duplex-enabled formatter will work with the minimum memory required (96MB), for 4600, 4600n, 5500 and 5500n printers.
