About Color LaserJet 4500 Printers

Whatever the printing needs of your workgroup, the Color LaserJet 4500 is designed to handle them, without the need for a lot of support or maintnance. They provide fast, economical prints on media of a wide variety (such as plain or glossy paper, transparencies, lables and envelopes), in sizes up to 8.5" x 14". Their straight-through paper path lets you use a greater range of paper weights, too, and eliminates curling on heavier media and envelopes. Plenty of input sources (standard 150-sheet and 250-sheet trays and optional 500-sheet feeder that comes standard on the 4500 DN model) give you the freedom to print on multiple paper types and sizes without swapping paper trays, and the output capacity is 250 sheets face down, 150 sheets face up. Add an optional duplexer (standard on the 4500 DN model) and you can even print double-sided color pages!

The 600 dpi engine uses a 133MHz RISC processor that will give you color pages at 4ppm, while black and white pages shoot through at 16ppm. HP Image REt 2400 ensures high-quality color, and toner cartridges install quickly with no mess, no errors.

Expandability in the Color LaserJet 4500 Series has been enhanced with HP's EIO (Enhanced Input/Output) interface, the smaller size of which enables HP to offer more slots. Standard connectivity includes Parallel ECP and up to two two open slots (there is an HP JetDirect 600N EIO card for Fast Ethernet 10/100Base-TX in one open slot on the 4500 N and 4500 DN, optional on the 4500). The two 32-bit PCI-based EIO slots are designed to handle today's higher bandwidth requirements for high-resolution, color, and graphic-intensive printing. The HP JetDirect 600N print server will further boost your network printing performance by enabling data throughput speeds of up to twice that of HP's pervious generation MIO print servers. Another boon to network performance is the HP Web JetAdmin software, which provides easy printer management using a common web browser from your own desktop.

Print languages: HP PCL 5C, PostScript Level 2 emulation. Memory: 32 MB standard, expandable to 208 MB with DIMM modlules.

Navigating the Catalog

Ordering and Checking Your Shopping Cart
